Cut the old rusty floor out and install the new Floor. Floor braces can get expensive so try and save yours if there in good shape Wire welding seams to be the best way to go, after market parts are not cut to true finish or square ,so take a little time installing yours properly.

My choice of Chevrolet Engines for ( Street Use ) would be 327 or 350 cubic inch motors,, why ? Because of the 4 inch bore of both engines , you can easy produce 400 hp on pump Gas and maintain a good average MPG and the abuse these engines can take. Cheap to Build and they stay together
Nova Engine Fresh Build is a 350 4 Bolt main engine Steel Crank 60 over Pistons 194 Small Chamber Heads
